PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To audit disparate Network Operations Centers (NOCs) of a Fixed Line Network Operator providing a full range of services (such as Voice, Transmission, IP, ATM, Data, and IN VAS) over legacy and next generation technologies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

· Carry out an audit of disparate NOCs that are currently differentiated by technology and/or region.

· Collate information through conducting interviews and provide detailed findings.

· Analyse information and provide a solution to align all NOCs to bring about operational excellence that meets all the business strategies of the client.

· Prepare report containing finding and recommendations and assist in presentation to the Executive Management.

· Defining key capabilities and performance metrics (KPIs) for quality business solution delivery.

· Establishing governance organization and standards to ensure efficient program management.

· Providing estimates, forecasts and work load planning assistance.

· Define a business organization structure that supports the new processes.

Identify interdependencies between various program implementation activities.

1. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE.

· Telecommunication Industry experience of 7-8 years

· Proven expertise in all activities carried by a Telecommunications NOC

· Technical expertise in hardware, software and standards associated with a Fixed Line Network :-

- consisting of legacy copper networks, fiber core networks, under sea cables, radio networks, fibre access network, and satellite links.

- supporting various technologies (such as SDH, GPON, DSL, Frame Relay, Packet Switched Data, Circuit Switched Data, IP)

- providing legacy and next generation services.

Bench marking of NOCs to deliver best in class performance.
