Quality Control Engineer - Norway

Sirius Telecom is on behalf of a client looking for a Quality Control Engineer for a large scale swap project to become a permanent member of staff. The project is based in Norway and this is an excellent opportunity to join and become a part of highly skilled team.

The Quality Control engineer is primarily responsible for leading the quality team and to ensure quality standards are meet at all times during the project. The QC will also undertake on-site engineering inspection and ensure the quality of the hardware and software used in the project.

Other areas of responsibilities will include:

• Training of supervisors and sub-contractors for quality of engineering installation.(inc. EHS).
• Quality document (inspection reports) for hardware and as well as software.
• Help the supervisors during installation if they are facing problems.
• Monitor the KPI for structure of quality job.
• Set the architecture of project quality management.

Main Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication Engineering and related fields.
• Extensive background and practical experience from work as a Telecom Engineer.
• Background knowledge of Wireless Network (GSM, GPRS, CDMA, WCDMA), Fixed Network (Narrowband SWITCHING, AN, DATACOM, BROADBAND), Transmission Network (DWDM, SDH, PDH), and Service and Software (INTELLIGENT NETWORK, Value-added) will be an advantage.
• Experience with establishing project quality assurance system and implement telecom equipment standards, ITU standards, ISO9000, TL9000 and ISO9000, ISO14000 and OHSAS18000. 
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Power Point.
• Ability to liaise and cooperate effectively with all level of management, product engineers, project teams, local subcontractors or agents.
• Focused on providing top quality customer service.
• Can travel extensively to support project.
• English in combination with Norwegian, Swedish or Danish language is a must.
