We have some urgent openings with our clients for the following skills:
Position: Customer Support Engineer SC - Rel 4 CS Core
Location: Indonesia
Contract Duration: 3 months (extendable to another 3 months)
Position Available: 2-3
Job Role:
- Plans and performs technical activities to service the customer and brings expertise to customer site on need basis.
- Plans and executes technical tasks requiring specialist skills in own professional area. - Works independently with the responsibility for solving customer request cases and reporting according to processes. Identifies and solves technical problems.
- Shares knowledge in own professional area.
- May support areas by participating in emergency and 24/7 duty.
Key Tasks:
- Independently carries out installation and/or commissioning and/or integration activities.
- Network expansion activities.
- SW maintenance activities such as installation & test of technical/change notes /change deliveries.
- Technical/customer acceptance testing.
- Technical support tasks including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting within own competence area.
- Participates in fault management and/or help-desk activities. (Helpdesk, Kruse etc.) - Participates in emergency support activities.
- Provides support for complex technical activities such a SW upgrades and technical audits.
- On-site support at customers premises where participates network operation service (NOS), where applicable.
- Planning and running a subproject, limited scope. - Implement parametering in the network elements - Subsystems (understands KPI and the impact on the performance of the system).
- Feedback and co-ordination with Network Planning.
- Mostly own project customer interface and has the role of customer responsible person in his/her own competence area.
- If requested , executes above-mentioned activities in other support-site/ country.
Needed Competencies and Skills
- Knowledge on telecommunication and switching technology, specially NSN R4 Network Element.
- Commissioning, Integration, SW Update and Upgrade for NSN MSS and MGW.
- Analytical and conceptual thinking
- Collaboration skills
- Customer service orientation
- Integrity and credibility
- Planning and organising skills
- Ability to conduct wiorkshops
- Problem solving skills
- Experience in maintaining Nokia NSS equipments is preferable
- Some experience in operating telecommunication networks
- Some experience in team building
- Some experience in communicating with different groups/teams
- Experience in a similar role is preferable
- Provide first line & second line maintenance (technical support) for the NSS (Switching Core) equipments during the Network Operations Phase.
- Correct NSS faults and performance degradations in the managed network
- Responsible to be involved in the development and implementation of O&M processes
- Responsible for co-operating with the technical support of 3rd party equipment
- Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of all circuit core switching equipments, Problems solved or escalated to the correct group/team, NSS network elements downtimes decreased, NSS network element quality improved
- Will be involved in software upgrades and correction updates to switching elements.
