PART (A) - JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Qualification:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related scientific or related industry experience.
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification is required.
Skill Set:
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required.
• Extensive experience in configuration, installation and maintenance of LAN infrastructure equipment and software including Network File Servers, DNS/DHCP Servers, Proxy Servers, Print Servers, Messaging Servers and network data backup system.
• Experience of network protocol analysis and communication TCP/IP protocols is required.
Tools Knowledge
• Windows
• Unix, Linux operating systems,
• Microsoft Windows NT/2000 Server
• DHCP
• DNS
• Proxy
• Microsoft Exchange Server
• Extensive knowledge of Internet Protocols:
o TCP/IP
o IPX/SPX
o SNMP
o SMTP.
Years of Experience Required:
• Minimum of five years experience
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership in the design, implementation, and management of Local Area Network (LAN) systems.
Responsibilities:
• Administer, maintain and troubleshoot Unix, Windows, Linux operating systems, Cisco and Nortel Routers and Switches.
• Develop and maintain a standard network policy and procedures.
• Manage and maintain centralized network data backup and archiving system.
• Provide support and management of the network software distribution and software metering system.
• Perform centralized Local Area Network (LAN) management function for local and remote sites.
• Provide technical resources for emerging network product evaluations, including network and desktop hardware and software.
• Develop and write extensive Local Area Network (LAN) system RFP
• Selecting and managing vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
