Project Description: Rollout of new 3G network (UMTS 900) required access
plan database/datafill engineers to create xml files.


Job Description - 2G/3G RAN Access Planning Engineer

Responsibilities
2G & 3G RAN Access TRS network planning for Nokia Flexi's & RNC
2G & 3G RAN Interface dimensioning( Abis_Iub_ Iu) & optimization
2G & 3G Detail Access Planning
2G & 3G RAN capacity dimensioning & optimisation
2G & 3G RAN traffic model dimensioning and forecasting
Datafill creation and implementation into BSC /TCSM/ RNC


The engineer will be the lead planning engineer (very senior engineer),
must have extensive knowledge in 2G and 3G Planning. The engineer will lead
a team of engineers.


Knowledge
Nokia 2G / 3G RAN Access Planning & Optimisation
Rel S14 & RU10
In-depth knowledge of IP planning
Experience
Min 3 Years Access Planning & Optimisation, Other GSM/UMTS and/or
Planning/Optimisati on experience advantageous
A minimum of 1 years experience in Project Co-ordination / team lead
A minimum of 1 years experience in Performance KPI analysis
A minimum of 1 years experience in Access parameter tuning
A minimum of 2 years experience with Nokia 3G access network planning &
optimisation

Job Description - 3G Database Engineer

Responsibilities
RU10, Creating / Generating plan using Plan Editor or CM editor and loading
the plans via Netact (COCO/WBTS/WCEL/ ADJS/ADJI/ ADJG etc)
RU10 and RAS 6 Database creation and modification
In-depth knowledge of features and parameters
Implementation of new RU10 features (e.g. HSUPA 2Mbps, Soft handover Based
on Detected set Reporting, common Iub),RAN database parameters
Analysis of neighbour relations and implementation of corrections
RAN parameter audits as well as corrections on the database
Node B migrations – RNC & Node B databases
2G & 3G interface upgrades (COCO/IuR/IuPS/ IuCS etc)
Configuration Management assistance to customer
Customer problem investigation
Inter-system & intra-system neighbour relations auditing

Knowledge
Nokia Flexi Equipment\RNC2600
Overview and understanding of datafills (not just implement but know if the
information is correct or not)
Indepth kowledge of NetAct (CM Editor\CM Operations\CM Analyser),
Planeditor
RAN product/software/ hardware/ database knowledge
In-depth 3G telecommunications knowledge
Additional Nokia 2G RAN Database knowledge an advantage
Additional Siemens equipment and database knowledge an advantage

Experience
Min 4 Years BSS database creation in Nokia GERAN
Min 2 Years RAN database creation using Planeditor and/or CM* and NetAct

Additional
International Driver's License
