Opportunity:
The Senior Network Engineer / Telecom Analyst will reside with Kodak's Worldwide IS Operations - Global Telecom unit which manages a global set of network infrastructure services to over 250 locations. The position is based in the External Access IP Management team which delivers a wide range of modern internet based services to enable Kodak's digital transformation to reach its full potential. Many of the services, systems, and projects involve collaboration with partners across the globe with key locations in Europe and Asia.
Key Functions Will Include:
• Engineer and deliver high quality, secure Internet based infrastructure services including: Web Access/HTTP, FTP, Client and Site-to-Site Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), DMZ networks, and other external firewall protected connections
• Configure, test, and operate routers, firewalls, load balancers, firewall monitoring / logging infrastructure, VPN appliances, and proxy servers
• Implement infrastructure development projects, as needed, to improve security, enhance service delivery, increase capacity or add additional capability
• Provide KIR technical support of the External Access IP Management Services and LAN/WAN Management Teams using standard Problem and Change Management processes
• Provide support for annual audits
• Participate in on-call rotational 7 x 24 pager duty
• Design and implementation of network solutions including external connections, firewall rules, routing configurations, VPNs, VoIP, and LAN/MAN/WAN components
• Support RSA Envision log analysis and other tools used for pro-active network security monitoring and virus / security threat incident response
• Utilize technical writing and verbal presentation skills to support development of service requirements and specifications, operational support and network infrastructure documentation
• Demonstrate ability to lead and participate in projects for the entire solution life cycle from requirements to ongoing support
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related area
• 5+ years experience with Cisco Routers and Checkpoint / Nokia Firewalls is required
• Experience with networks of global scale or 100+ locations is required
• Experience with RSA Envision Log Management and F5 Network Load Balancers is highly desired
• Experience with SonicWall or Aventail VPNs is highly desired
• Advanced Network Design Skills using CISCO routers, IPSEC VPNs, DMZs, and Hosting Networks
• Nokia appliance management, UNIX or Windows/2000 Systems Administration experience
• Project Management experience and refined communications skills
• Must have the ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks using project management methodologies
• Must be familiar with UNIX and Windows operating systems technology and administration
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and OSPF or BGP routing, DNS & DHCP
• Must have previous experience in Firewall management and IP based network / remote access
• Participate in additional telecom projects/initiative s involving DNS/DHCP, mobile/cellular, Wi-Fi, VoIP, and video, as needed
• Provide Supplier oversight including strategy development, negotiations, and performance management
