This Florham Park, New Jersey-based role is for a microwave engineer specializing in millimeter wave up to 100GHz. Experience above 50 GHz required.
Experience in RF systems engineering, radio design, circuit design, multi-chip module design, advanced materials & fabrication techniques, RF circuit card design, lab prototyping, trouble shooting, measurement & characterization of components and end-to-end systems. Experience in modeling & simulation of Electromagnetic Systems. Other relevant experience: millimeter wave imaging, radio astronomy, satellite communications, high speed optical electronics. Ability to lead small teams, track, predict and report progress, trouble shoot designs and red-team proposals is required.
The ability to present complex systems to highly technical peers as well as Customer research oversight people is required. Systems developed may be prototypes or low rate production systems intended for full production. Hence design for manufacturability may be an important consideration . Knowledge of DoD development methods are a plus. Familiarity and use of configuration management systems, formal design processes, metrics collections and analysis, complex system integration and test. Candidates that are innovative, creative, inspired - and those who have the ability to instill these traits in others are sought.
MS or PhD. Software & Digital Design experience a plus. Broad product development experience is strongly desired.
